Saving or minimizing water for agriculture purpose.
I found that the lack of water availability is the main problem for cultivating corps. In most part of India agriculture is business is mainly depending on seasonal rainfall and availability of water. Farmers are forced to change their corps based on water supply. If water is made available we will have sufficient food for all .in India most part comes under drought condition in summer time. With my idea / concept .we will be able to save / minimize wastage of water for agriculture purpose .we all know certain amount of water gets evaporated by the sun and as well as earth will consume large quantity of water. I wanted to avoid wastage of water Saving water is saving corps.
My idea is to supply water for each plant. (It is only one time investment). My system will not be effective for wheat and paddy field .it is suitable for other verity of corps. Supply water for each plant.
There must be at least there must be minimum gap of two feet or more is required. Like sugar cane and other suitable plants we have to select for this method. Plant that need water separately.
Concept. Every living organism including plant will sent distress signal when it is starving for food or water.
This signal is not audible for human beings but it can be picked up by and electronic sensor which is attached to the plant. Concept is suitable for large-scale operations for making it economically viable.
Approximately one sensor to a plant attached is equal to one Acre. (Have to work our practically). The number of sensor divides total area. Which will send signal or alarm to switch on bore well pump and high-pressure booster pumps there is one large tank after bore well pump. The purpose of the tank is to supply nutrition like urea or something equllent and pesticides for root problem in plant with venturies method.(Alarm for manual operation of pumps; for fully automatic operation signal are based on frequency or any other suitable mode of transmitting signal is required.). Water is send through the flexible PVC pipe about half and inch in dia. nozzles are pointed at the root of every plant .I feel it is better to bury PVC pipe about six or eight inch below the ground level to avoid direct sun heat .hot water supply can harm the plant. Burying the pipe nozzle can at some palaces may clog; depending upon the nature of soil. Like clay .in this method pump will run only as long as alarm or signal is on. Once it get off it will take hours to alarm / signal to come on again. PVC pipe needs to run the entire area but there is no need to run the sensor wires entire length. For that a small solar panel (power for alarm and electronic circuit. (Needs designing .it is simple circuit board .I can only explain how the circuit I expect to work. nothing complicated.) The signals are send to pump house where it will activate bore well and line booster pump. Booster pump is a plunger piston type like in boiler or with air pressure. To contain the cost; this method is followed with co-operative farming. I mean land may belong to individual but everybody can benefit if they share the total cost. I have a simple idea for that. Assuming that each individual got different size of farmland. They should start co –operative farming. Total area out put of the product divided by per farmer’s square feet area. One can collect profit ether by cash or product. This simplest method to produce result oriented farming.
I have chosen this method to minimize and to avoid water wastage.
Supplying water through PVC pipe and pump motor running on programmed timer is used in common method .in my method water is used only when plant required water. This is what makes my Idea unique.
I do not know any body in this world is using my method for cultivating corps .I had noticed plants shedding leaves in the summer time. So when it is starving for water; it is sending signal through the body of the plant. From root to leaf .if plant is getting adequate water it is not sending distress signals. This is where I want electronic sensor to sense distress signals. So that only enough water is given to nourish the plant. I want to take advantage of technology. Other wise one electrical timer can be programmed to supply water at predetermined interval is more than sufficient. That way I do not think much water can be saved .in my method pump will only run few hours In 24 hours of time
I am willing to work with them for trial and to make working model of proto type to make sure my concepts are flawless. . Circuits are not locally available. I can only say I want specific item to perform for particular purpose because I can not work out on theories.
Working model of prototype .one plant in a pot with sensor attached to it. Measuring / sensing plant’s signals in normal conditions and recording it for few days. Then stopping water supplies to the plant and checking its signals for some days. Checking the difference between normal and starving conditions we will be able to record plant’s tolerance for water .it will vary with each plats but one can study tolerance for water in different plant and record it for future use. Then making circuit; checking pump operations; required amount of water for particular plant .all these things can be observed .at the end of the program we will be able to find out how much water is saved. Based on the trial we can try it on a large open field.
Benefits.Naturally it is farmers and agriculture departments will benefits from my idea.
Out come and results…with my limited knowledge I am unable to measure the out come and result of my idea..after making working model of prototype successful .I expect agriculture department can present the impact. / Difference it can practically make .not just in theories.
Sustainability?
Once it is proved beyond doubt that my idea can be used for feature generation.not just in India.
Even foreigners will be willing to co-operate / participate in this project. Major challenge is only making a prototype model. Copy write of the idea can be made with the help of Indian government. Government can invite neighboring countries and show them farm working based on this particular idea. We can sell this idea to them .I confident that one day it will became a reality and way of cultivating corps.
Project cost. Based on trial. To calculate expenditures we have to work per Acre or hector. (Bearing in mind it is only one time investment .few maintenance cost for pumps and electricity bills etc)
About my other ideas.
This is just one of my few idea /concept. My thinking is based on scientific. Not utopian ideas .I may not able to make to make any of this items because I am not technically qualified .I may need the help of technical engineer or a scientist to find out whether my ideas are economically viable.
Stop cyclone! . If used effectively it can prevent lose of corps, save human lives and property .for this special type of bomb is needed .a bomb which will not explode on impact but on electrical charge. . Circuit includes altimeter, battery and a switch.
Explained in simple method. With satellite images and map one can pin point (eye of the storm) cyclone. Cyclone is always formed at the sea. . After calculating distance from sea Laval .set the altimeter .fly high above the cyclone. Switch on the circuit and drop the bomb (bomb will have a free mechanical type fan leafs to slow down and also for guiding the bomb) over the cyclone.when preset high is achieved altimeter will trigger the bomb for explosion. The pressure at the core of the cyclone will be greatly reduced.since explosion creates partial vacuum. Some of the pressure will be drawn back .if over a period of time cyclone will intensify, then it may be necessary to repeat the same procedure. When cyclone reaches the shore it can not create devastation. Since cyclone is formed over the sea. There is no loss of damage .it is even possible to retrieve unexploded bomb. Compare the devastation caused by the cyclone on corps environments. Here prevention is better than cure.
Advance model is the simplest one. With our laser guided missiles it is possible to shoot down cyclone. After calculating distance of cyclone from sea level with the help of satellite and map; Altimeter can be set on the ground and switched on. Just fire the missile it; will take care of cyclone. Missile can be fired from. Land, sea or air.
